On the Saone River Boating toward Avignon and the former Pope Palace - Sebastien singing along with scenes from the Chardonnay. I know it is a sad song about Amsterdam but Sebastien has a fine voice and still speaks of the river and the buildings that surround it. Avignon and for most of the 14th century the Popes had left the turmoil of Rome to build residences, chateaux, a number of fortified palaces and churches in Avignon, the calm possession of the Catholic Church:
